About the Artist
Larry Fink’s career spans ve decades with a body of work that explores class in America, depicting both the blue collar and the opulent elite in his distinctly unique and offbeat style. The artist will speak about the social and political nature of his work in a survey of his career to date, including recent photographs from the Women’s March in Washington, D.C., held January 21, 2017. Fink’s most recent monograph, Fink on Warhol: New York Photographs of the 1960s by Larry Fink, will be available for purchase at the event.
Larry Fink (b. 1941) has exhibited extensively, most recently in a retrospective at the Andalusian Center of Photography. Fink has had solo exhibitions at MoMA, the Whitney Museum, Les Rencontres d’Arles, the Musée de l’Elysée, and the Musée de la Photographie. Fink has received the ICP In nity Award, two Guggenheim Fellowships and two NEA Fellowships. His photographs have been published in Vanity Fair, W, GQ, The New York Times Magazine, and The New Yorker.
